If you are looking for ways to legalize your software that’s probably the good moment. Please remember you can always use free OpenOffice instead of Microsoft Office. Today we released a new version of our CDMA Sharing Router. We made some tests using Huawei EC226 USB CDMA modem and in Phuket, Kathu area we’ve got the speeds of 2.3Mbps! We are using speedtest.net with Bangkok server for speed tests. The price of the router will stay the same – 6000 baht including setup.

CAT Telecom stopped selling Novatel Wireless MC727 and now selling a new modem, Huawei EC226, which is even cheaper (6xxx baht). We successfully tested it with our CDMA Sharing Router.

Our 3G router successfully shared the Internet connection from Ericsson G36e Fixed GPRS/EDGE terminal and from Nera F77 Inmarsat Fleet 77 terminal.

Sierra Wireless 881U was tested successfully with our 3G sharing router. This is GPRS/EDGE USB modem.

We are very often asked how to choose a notebook. In fact for a mainstream user there are not too many options to consider.

• Do not buy the notebook with Intel or S3 graphics. Choose NVidia or ATI graphics instead.
• Make sure the notebook has an international warranty, preferably 2 years or more.
• Decide what’s more important for you — portability or usability. Usually it will be very tiresome for eyes to work long hours on the screen sizes less than 13″. On the other hand, 17″ screen notebook is not a nicest thing to lug around on a world tour. Most common size is 14″ wide screen.
• If you want to watch movies from the notebook on the LCD or Plasma TV, make sure the notebook has an HDMI output and it supports HDCP.
• Will the battery last long enough for your needs?

Changed the laguage for Nokia 5800 XpressMusic to russian for the customer. The phone was bought in Malaysia. The number of hoops to jump through to do this is amazing. Had to change the product code to Ukrainian as the new 20.x firmware is for some crazy reason is not available for Russia, and had to find the firware download as the Nokia Software Updater is not listing any firmware updates for Ukraine or Russia. All the manipulations with IPhone look much easier after Nokia
